Sight by Sail is an initiative from the Historic Vessel Vega which provides free reading glasses for the elderly. We supply both new high-quality glasses of various strengths and training for local health workers to fit them. These low-cost reading glasses make a huge difference in peoples lives. Historic Vessel Vega in collaboration with the East Timor Maritime Police (UPM) delivers medical supplies and reading glasses to Lautém District, Timor Leste.
Laclubar is a rural area high in the mountains of East Timor. It is difficult to reach. Most people live in the surrounding farming villages which often have no road only walking paths.
Triloka Clinic serves the community Triloka and 12 surrounding villages. The clinic works under the umbrella of the Fundação Lafaek Diak, Baucau, East Timor.
